the canal district is the most exclusive region of taliesin: criss-crossed by the shallowest canals, each bounded by cherry trees that bloom for half a year at a time, it's an area of sumptuous architecture and a myriad of wildflowers. predominately aos-si inspired buildings - including, to the far west, mansions and the massive abraxas tower - in vivid colours are surrounded by deep foliage, runaway sweetpeas and bridal creeper obscuring the delicate gilding of shopfronts and penthouse apartments. designer labels and five-star restaurants line streets shaded by oaks.
