briarwash

briarwash is one of the oldest suburbs in taliesin, with big old houses widely spaced over uneven hills: since the roughwild contamination, the spaces between houses have filled up with forest; some of the houses have filled up, too, or been reconstructed in the boughs of trees that sprang up as wide around as the house used to be. here are weatherboards covered in moss, white picket fences listing under the weight of wisterias that have overgrown and smothered whole gardens, garages absorbed by the trees that once shaded them, wide rolling roads cracked by roots and growth. in spring it smells of honeysuckle.
